3 Keys to a Successful Mindset: Part 3

A good business mindset is one of the keys to success as an entrepreneur. A good mindset can help you reach success, while a bad one can derail all of your best efforts.

To fully cover the 3 keys to a successful mindset, I’ve split this blog post into three parts to be discussed over three weeks:

Part 1) Growth Mindset – Tuesday, November 8th

Part 2) Always On – Tuesday, November 15th

Part 3) Intimate Relationship with Your Subconscious – Today

Please read Part 1: Growth Mindset, Part 2: Always On, and join me in the discussion of this in-depth three part series.

3 Keys to a Successful Mindset: Part 3

Intimate Relationship with Your Subconscious

Your values, thoughts and actions need to be aligned so that you can be the best and truest version of yourself. A disconnect with the way you think and the way you act means your conscious mindset and subconscious mindset are slightly different.

Freud psychoanalysis theory says the mind is bound by compulsion subconsciously and if you’re not paying attention, you can make the same mistakes over and over again. With the right conditioning, you can align your subconscious and conscious mindset.

One example I can give is the act of meditating every morning. While you may know that a lot of successful people take 5-10 minutes every morning to meditate, that doesn’t translate into you meditating each morning. You need to condition yourself and create a habit before it will become a natural part of your routine. Typically it takes at least 21 days to create a habit, so you need to work hard with your conscious mind for almost a month before it will sink into your subconscious mind and become a natural part of your morning. Conditioning yourself to think or act a certain way will align your conscious and subconscious mindsets and improve your overall mindset.

It’s not always the people who start out as the smartest or the most talented that end up being the most successful in life or business. A key to success is having the right mindset that affects your thoughts and actions. Cultivate a growth mindset that thrives on challenges and sees failure as a chance to improve, keep up with changes in technology so that you continue to improve your business and yourself, and condition your subconscious to align it with your conscious mindset.

If you can align your conscious and subconscious mindset so that they are fueling your positive behaviour, you are predicting your future success.

How do you keep your mindset clear and aligned?
